There is another plant that grows a little taller in the forest - Biophytum candolianum. It prefers shade and humidity. Although it is not as fast as Thottavadi, the leaves also wilt when touched.

  • It is used as a medicine for many diseases including fever, hemorrhage, cough, diarrhea, and urinary tract diseases.
  • In addition, Mukkutti has antiseptic and styptic properties, so it is used as a medicine for ulcers and wounds.
  • Mukkutti is also an antidote. If you are stung by a wasp, it is good to grind Mukkutti roots and apply them externally and serve.
  • Mukkutti juice is also good for healing wounds.
  • Mukkutti leaves can be ground and mixed with buttermilk for diarrhea. Mukkutti also has the ability to normalize diabetes. No matter how severe your diabetes is, just grind Mukkutti and drink boiled water and your diabetes will return to normal. After crushing ten Mukkutti leaves, washing and cleaning them, you can use them as you would a normal thirst quencher.
